For the painstaking handcrafting, our knifemaker Martin Huber himself makes the San Mai steel and gives each knife its ideal shape and function. The very hard cutting layer and the ideal cutting angle guarantee great edge retention

The unique handle made of bush-hammered beech and bronze inlay emphasises the characteristic style of the knife in a special way. This hand-forged beauty is a knife for life and generations to come.

The forged steel can be re-sharpened again and again, even after years. Martin Huber also offers this service directly. This way you have "your" knife for eternity

On request, your own initials can be hammered into the blade during the forging process, giving the knife an even more personal touch. We will contact you after your order to discuss the details. Each knife is delivered with a certificate of authenticity in a wooden box.

An extremely robust carbon steel is the so-called white paper steel, sometimes better known as C100 steel. The various uses of this resistant material are almost limitless. Added to this is a precise grinding technique with which the blade of the Gytos is sharpened and honed.
