Incomparably crunchy, slightly spicy and fabulously good! Our frankfurters are made from the highest quality meat and processed by hand.
One sausage, many names - we are of course talking about the Frankfurter, or the Wiener Würstel. The traditional sausage has been known since the 13th century and is even popular in Canada and the USA under the name "Wiener Würstchen"
How are frankfurters made?
Frankfurters are made from the highest quality beef and/or pork. This is supplemented with bacon and water and finally seasoned with fine spices. Of course, fine notes of nutmeg are not to be missed
For the characteristic crunchy bite, Fitmeat Frankfurters are smoked over beech wood by our master butcher and then steamed
Frankfurters - a traditional treat
Incidentally, if you were to order the frankfurters in a longer form, you would be talking about the famous Viennese "Sacherwürstel" - the highlight of every ball season and perhaps the real reason for a visit to the Opera Ball. A pair of the highest quality frankfurters is simply a treat and belongs to the ball! It is served with bread rolls, fresh horseradish and hot mustard.
Quantity per person
A package with one kilogram of Frankfurter contains approx. 10 pairs of sausages. This corresponds to 4 portions.
Herkunft und Haltung
At Fitmeat, the highest quality and species-appropriate animal husbandry are top priorities. That is why 100% of the animals come from small farmers in Austria. The farms are located in Lower Austria, the Waldviertel, Salzburg and neighbouring Upper Austria
As we distance ourselves from long transport routes and factory farming, we have the animals respectfully slaughtered individually by our partner butchers in the immediate vicinity of the farms (max. 15 minutes transport distance) or directly on the farm
We also have close and personal contact with the farmers and work exclusively with butchers who know both farmer and animal personally. Our master butchers cut each animal into the finest parts and allow them to mature selectively. This is not only true for our steaks, but also for ham, sausages and bacon!
These are carefully prepared and refined by hand by our master butchers according to the original recipe. The result? Sausages of the highest quality for a fabulous enjoyment experience.

|68% pork and beef, bacon, drinking water, nitrite curing salt, starch, spices with mustard, dextrose, stabiliser: E452, flavour enhancer: E621, antioxidant: E300, ascorbic acid. Smoked and cooked.
