Our ducks, or more accurately Barbarie or Muscovy ducks, are a first-class delicacy. In addition to whole animals, we also supply much sought-after duck breasts.

The meat is extremely juicy and the skin becomes particularly crispy when roasted! Just as it should be. In the online shop you can find various cuts such as duck breast, duck legs or whole animals for festive roasts.

Origin & breeding - Where do Fitmeat ducks come from?

Our ducks grow up in the wonderful Lower Austrian Waldviertel under the best conditions. On the large property they can waddle at will across the lush meadows and help themselves to the natural feed. Bathing fun in the nearby pond is also on the ducks' agenda - but of course only in a flock.

Fitmeat ducks: A healthy treat!

The first-class conditions inspire the quality of the meat. Thanks to the freedom of movement and the feed the ducks develop a wonderful flavour of their own without putting on too much fat.

In general, ducks contain less fat than geese. If you want to save calories, for example, it is best to choose the duck breast without skin. In addition, duck meat contains significantly more iron than goose. Thanks to its magnesium content and vitamin B1 ( ), the meat provides micronutrients that the human body can make good use of.

Duck or goose? What is the difference?

Strictly speaking, geese and ducks are very close relatives. So it is all the more surprising that the meat structure differs significantly. Because duck meat is significantly leaner and has a more intense flavour of its own.
