Our animal welfare pork stands for honest meat enjoyment, species-appropriate farming and premium quality from Austria. Because truly great pork doesn’t start in the kitchen – it starts with the way the animals are raised.
Our pigs are raised at Biohof Greflgut and on carefully selected farms in the region. With plenty of space, fresh air, cosy straw bedding and outdoor access, they can decide for themselves whether to relax indoors or enjoy the sunshine outside. They grow up in small groups, with lots of opportunities to play and explore, while being fed only high-quality natural feed.
Animal Welfare You Can Taste
Pigs are highly intelligent and naturally clean animals. That’s why caring, species-appropriate farming is our top priority – and you can truly taste the difference. Compared to meat from industrial farming, our pork stays juicy, tender and full of natural flavour.
Their feed consists of a balanced mix of barley, wheat, corn, beans, peas and rapeseed – completely free from unnecessary additives or performance-enhancing feed. This ensures slow growth, beautiful marbling and an exceptionally rich flavour.
The slaughter process is completely stress-free and takes place directly on the farm or at a nearby butcher – without long transport routes and in a calm environment. Afterwards, the meat is left to mature on the bone to develop its full flavour. The result: wonderfully tender cuts with outstanding aroma and quality you can taste in every bite.
